His background is from tradition fine art sculpture and architecture and has shown his work extensively in galleries and internationally. He is also one of the first pioneer artists to work with 3D scanning and imaging going all the way back to 1988 at Pratt Institute. Mid-career he shifted from his traditional fine art work to digital imaging and eventually R&D. Since the mid-1990's he has been involved in many top films, games and many other projects. After his co-founding of Paraform and then working with Stanford on the Digital Michelangelo Project he decided he wanted to return to his roots in hands on studio production. He joined with former Paraform team members and other high level industry colleagues and formed Icon Imaging. Since 2000 Icon Imaging has been involved in many well know projects. The studio is a custom facility and usually takes on projects that have a high artistic caliber and are technically very difficult. The studio continues to evolve as the process of imaging grows and becomes more complex. |
